I know this may be hard for people, but something did when I self injured was talking it out. It seems really simple, but it's hard. Some things are hard to talk about, but you can do it. And it doesn't matter who you talk to, as long as you start the conversation.

At the end of the day sometimes there isn't anyone to talk to. Nothing matters anymore anyways. No one cares. So people cut or stop for a while but then it just happens again, and they keep cutting. Hoping the second time they'll be more successful than the first. It's like a never ending cycle, but if it makes them feel better, why not right? Some people self harm because they think they deserve to make themself suffer for what happened. I learned...when all the pieces of your life has fallen apart , there won't be anyone to help you pick them back up again. You're just going to be alone...

Escape09 - - As Ali said, we are here for you. I know what it feels like to cut. I've been through the emotions. I've been "sober" from cutting for almost 5 years now. Another thing that helped was being creative. I know that sounds like such a cliche answer but it worked for me. I also saw a therapist for quite some time. And it's not even really about having anyone respond, just talk your problems out out loud. It may seem silly at first, but it can help get things off your chest.
